Lost at Whamageddon

I wanted to write a Christmas song, so I decided to write about the traditional yuletide pastime of trying to avoid listening to "Last Christmas" by Wham, in the classic game of Whamageddon.

Lyrics and Chords:

[C][F][G]
[C][F][G]

[C]Santa's loading presents, piling [F]high up on his [G]sleigh
He'll [C]soon be cleared for takeoff and be [F]heading on his [G]way
[F]Giving final orders to the [C]elves
As they [F]catalogue the toys on the [G]shelves

[C]Children grow impatient as they're [F]counting down the [G]sleeps
[C]Having to behave themselves, at [F]least in the last [G]week
[F]Doing all the jobs around the [C]house
[F]Promise that they'll eat the brussels [G]sprouts

But [E7]Christmas isn't always filled with [Am]cheer
As you [F]tell me while you're crying in your [G]beer

That your [C]bathroom sprung a leak when it was [F]late on Christmas [G]Eve
Your [C]hoover's clogged with needles that have [F]fallen from the [G]tree
You [F]pulled a cracker and discovered [C]that
It [F]didn't even have a silly [G]hat

You [F]could have guessed that [C]Christmas
was [F]going to be [C]cursed
When you [Dm]lost at Whamageddon on
[G7]December the [C]first

[C][F][G]
[C][F][G]

The [C]presents that you ordered turned [F]up a day too [G]late
When [C]washing up the dishes you [F]broke your favourite [G]plate
Your [F]wonky fairy lights have blown a [C]fuse
Your [F]uncle has finished all the [G]booze

You [C]overcooked the turkey and [F]forgot the stuffing [G]balls
[C]Trivial Pursuit has ended [F]in a massive [G]brawl
But [F]nod and smile and try to be po[C]lite
To the [F]relatives you've never really [G]liked

You [F]could have guessed that [C]Christmas
was [F]going to be [C]cursed
When you [Dm]lost at Whamageddon on
[G7]December the [C]first

[C][F][G]
[C][F][G]
[F][C]
[F][G]

But [E7]when your Auntie starts to drive you [Am]mad
Re[F]member that it isn't all that [G]bad

[C]At least you have a roof and can [F]turn the heating [G]on
There's [C]plenty more to eat even [F]when the turkey's [G]gone
[F]You're sitting with your family at the [C]table
[F]You're not forced to sleep in a [G]stable

[F]Spare a thought for [C]everyone
Who [F]has it even [C]worse
Than to [Dm]lose at Whamageddon on
[G7]December the [C]first

[C][F][G]
[C][F][G]

Still you [F]could have guessed that [C]Christmas
was [F]going to be [C]cursed
When you [Dm]lost at Whamageddon on
[G7]December the [C]first
